We are partnering with the bowling alley/pool hall on campus to provide a viewing party for the championships and are looking to send out a reminder message to everyone that completed a bracket. Though in the messaging function trying to sort by sport (March Madness) and can't find a way. There is not the announcement function on there either that could possibly be used to message those with a bracket. Is there any effective way to do this?

Ethnicity and Race
Domestic vs International student
Household Income
First Generation Student?
GPA
Other campus involvement, such as club leadership, employment, etc.
Varsity Athlete? If so, what sport?
Which dorm/hall they are apart of?

Since each campus is very different, it would be great to have custom registration questions that administrators can set up. Then, administrators can pull participation data based on those questions. So, I could have a question that asks what country a student is from, and then in the participation statistics, I could see that 85% of IM students are from the US and 3% are from China, etc.

Lastly, our campus wants students to be able to list "other" and "prefer not to answer" on gender. Is there a way to allow that?

What percentage of your annual participants purchase a pass?

Do you allow participants to pay for individual sports?

What method do you use to keep track of financial eligibility? IMLeauges ID Sheet? Other software?

How do you make purchasing a pass easy on your students? Student account charges? Signups at the first of school? Do prices drop throughout the semester? Is there a cutoff date for purchasing a semester pass?

How do you charge student groups like Fraternities and Sororities? Individually or do they pay a lump sum?

Also, if you have student officials, free throw administration is a great thing to practice. What you can do though, if time of running clock is a consideration is only shoot the free throw that would make the play live on release. Any other free throws would be assumed to have went in (even the front end of the 1 and 1 bonus).

Common foul - out of bounds
Shooting foul ( 2 pt FG missed) - 1 pt added + 1 free throw
Shooting foul (2 pt FG made) - 2 pts added + 1 free throw
Shooting foul (3 pt FG missed) - 2 pts added + 1 free throw
Shooting foul (3 pt FG made) - 3 pts added + 1 free throw
Bonus (single or double) - 1 pt added + 1 free throw

We use that information to schedule them on IMLeagues, And we just have a log for each ref so that on the nights they ref, they sign in with our Supervisors and are marked down for each game. The system as worked well so far.

They usually already have the game systems already. I wanted to run one on our campus and did the planning, but it wasn't in line with what our leadership had in mind so we did not go through with it.

Can you clarify? So you have divisions made up of just 4 teams each I'm assuming? Do you do cross-division scheduling somehow? What do you mean by "we only allow teams to play up into the top bracket, and do not allow teams the opportunity to play down"? Do the captains tell you before the season is over that they want to "play up" when playoffs come around?

I work at a smaller university and my student staff deemed it unfair as long as their eligibility was completed. I gave them all the "reasons" why it wasn't unfair but they did not like that rule. We decided to allow it and the students do not have a problem with it. Why not just ask your students!

Before we would have to hunt down everyone, verify sizes, as the captains would normally just make the sizes up and then always had people trying to take shirts that weren't allocated to them.

Once we added it to IMLeagues, it prompted them the next time they logged in, we captured their sizes, and had less chaos than we ever had before with our last season.

You do have to export an report, but took maybe 2-3 minutes just asking simple Excel Filters and a counting formula for sizes. I'll gladly take on that extra few minutes than the headaches of handing out shirts and all the drama it use to bring.

Everything stopped so abruptly that they stopped participating in everything too. I'm fortunate that my campus remained open and my state is lessening restrictions, but the students are slow to return. They are just starting to use the rec areas in their small friends groups so interest is picking up and I think we will have renewed interest in the Fall. For now I'm just working hard to have the rec spaces open and available to their friends group, since they are not really interested in being too competitive right now outside of their friend groups.

I just put a poll out to my participants and many of our students do not want this ending. They are very confused, since many think the team winning get an automatic 7 points. So looks like we probably will not be adding this element into our league this year. Probably will need to find a way to educate the students regarding this before we would implement it in league play.

Students who first registered as freshman were still be listed as freshman three years later. We have alumni members who first registered as students but never updated their status to alumni. I know there is the key in the settings where you do Freshman and then choose the number of years but I'm guess we might not operate it properly to get accurate data.
