<![CDATA[Summer Events]]>Hello All,

We are looking into providing a couple of summer leagues for students, staff, and faculty staying on campus. We would also like to include the local community by providing the same opportunities to everyone that has a membership at our activities center. We are a small community so we are thinking about providing Volleyball and Raquetball or Tennis.

We have never tried this at our institution. Any small schools that do something similar? Any tips for reaching out to the community for intramurals?

For any new system implementation, advertisement will play a key role in "spreading the news" (particularly if this is for EVERYONE) - popular venues within your community that wouldn't mind a poster or two would be a start! Churches, parks, community newsletters, etc. Our system is a bit different because we are not a school, but nothing beats word of mouth and some posters.
