Here at SFA we use a few different methods of promoting our sports and activities. In our rec center we have tons of posters and signs, while else where on campus we pass out flyers and handbills. We also promote lightly through twitter. I was wondering if anyone maybe had some techniques for promo that they have found to be most successful? What are some other ways your sports are promoted?

At Stephen F. Austin we allow walk-ups to register up to 30 min before the event as well as semester long registration on IMLeagues. We keep a variety of blank brackets that can be filled out according to the number of teams/ participants for each tournament. The next day we transfer everything over to IMLeagues in the office.

@Blomberg How do you think the fees affect players that are asked to play in a last minute situation? Here we have many instances where teams are scrounging for players before games. I feel like our program specifically would suffer as far as number of participants. How do y'all handle the late additions and things like that?

@Blomberg I like that a lot. I feel like we could boost participation drastically by lowering the price but we're also relatively small so we need the income.

Hi everyone, I was wondering how much each school charges for participants to make teams? Here at SFA we charge $30 for major sports (flag football, basketball, volleyball etc.) and will charge $20 for tournaments related to major sports and smaller sports (raquetball, water polo, canoe battleship, etc) are free. I was curious to see how are prices match with other schools.
