Hi all,
I am wondering how you ensure that intramural participants are eligible to play. If you swipe student cards, do you have a way to do so at an off campus or field location?
Thanks!

Eligible Players

We currently use imleagues to track our eligibility. The only limits we have are for club players and we have linked all of our clubs to imleagues so it monitors that for us. We (hopefully) will be transitioning to a software called Fusion that will allow us to swipe students in using our tablets at off-campus locations and we can track participation using that.

We swipe each player at each site for eligibility. When we are at our fields which don't have campus internet we use laptop and FreedomPop mobile hot spots. The hot sports work most places there is cell reception and are fairly cheep.

@Coordinator We had our IT department develop a filter that connects with IM Leagues log-in and it checks their student status against that. If they are not students/staff members than it will mark them as ineligible. So if they are eligible on IM Leagues, then they should be good.
Thanks!

Hey Megan!
We require that all students sign up on imleagues using their school account, and then we upload an ID sheet that we get from our school to verify current student, fac/staff. Then, we print the scoresheets, and require players to submit their ID cards before a game. If they are found to be a non eligible player, we suspend the team for a game, which our students take seriously.
Hope that helps!
