This is Xcaret I. Ramirez, from Texas A&M International University. I am the Intramural Specialist at our rec center, and I would like to inquire what mitigation procedures your university’s recreation center is implementing for your intramurals program as you have begun/are preparing to begin reopening for the fall semester. What sports will be utilized under CDC recommendations (not including gaming)? How many participants per event will be allowed during a set time? Will PPE be required for competition, or optional? Will outdoor platforms be utilized more than indoor? What modified emergency procedures will be used to protect officials in such cases?
Our university is still debating on resuming our services to our community, and I have things in mind for the fall, but I would like to ask what other universities are doing/preparing to do thus far. If you would be so kind as to share your resumed intramural procedures with me, I would greatly appreciate it.
