In using IMLeagues as well as social media to market to students about intramural programs, has anyone noticed trends in what time messages are sent out and the response from students, whether it's signups after a reminder about registration, re-tweets on twitter or likes on Facebook. Every social media guide I've read says not to overwhelm students with posts, but I'm wondering if there are ways to be more efficient with those tools.

D'Amato - I have not personally recognized any trends within these social media sites at Adelphi University. I have heard that from some professionals (in recreation and the marketing field) that posting in the evenings/weekends can help you reach a larger audience at the moment you create your post.
