Prefacing this comment with that we cross train our staff, which may affect this a bit. We started trying to have our scorekeeper/table official keep stats throughout some games. With this we found that it is very difficult. We reverted to basically recording who scored a points as the additional seemed a bit over the top currently.

With flag as noted having multiple staff we have our back judge keep score and added a custom column for TD thrown/Caught and XP thrown/Caught that we asked them to record when they record the score. Granted this takes an extra moment, and some were more proficient than others, but I think is possible.

Other sports we hope to add assists eventually if possible and for goalies saves/blocks. Though we will see how this continues to develop next year.

Currently one of the challenges as noted is the varying abilities/knowledge of our scorekeepers/stat trackers, as some games we get a fairly thorough account others missing part of or the majority of points. This creates a large disparity as far as making an MVP or All-Star selection.

@singhisen I'm working on a similar format, but running it as one big league and then based off of your final standings within the league and broke it based off size for two similar brackets. Based on Win %, Points Scored, Points Allowed and Point Differential with Imleagues letting you determine your ranking criteria. Sometimes the regular season is less competitive but during playoffs it was competitive throughout.

Is there a way to message everyone that completed a bracket? We are partnering with the bowling alley/pool hall on campus to provide a viewing party for the championships and are looking to send out a reminder message to everyone that completed a bracket. Though in the messaging function trying to sort by sport (March Madness) and can't find a way. There is not the announcement function on there either that could possibly be used to message those with a bracket. Is there any effective way to do this?

One more thing, I am assuming that brackets will lock at the tip of the first game or will that be something the administrators also have access to?

@Myers Doug, One quick question are you going to have a combined score guess for a tie breaker type aspect? This is great, originally I wasn't able to see the school/IMleagues differences between the rank aspect.

    Thanks!

Like the addition of the March Madness Brackets. Though I am unclear as to how we can utilize the bracket you are putting up as an additional sport/contest. Will the admin be able to see others when they create a bracket etc or?

As it shows as an additional thing along the top ribbon along intramural sports, which is part of what is making it unclear for me at least.

Does anyone else know how this will be working? Thanks!

So one of the information sets required and used for our participants is their phone number. Similar to searching for members by name, e-mail or ID, could you possibly look into adding functionality to search by phone number.

We sometimes use the text message feature to update though when they respond it comes from a phone number which rarely says the name of the player and they don't often necessarily provide enough information such as team name, league etc to figure out when is going on.

If we could search by the phone number I believe would be able to figure out resolution to what they ask sometimes without calling or e-mailing back.

    Thanks,

For scheduling games is there a way? to enable minute by minute scheduling rather than the 5 minute increment?

If there could be a toggle built in that would be nice, as 99% of the time the 5 minute increments are the best option.

Just this fall we are adding a Golf league at the local Golf Course and their tee times are every 8 minutes. With the 5 minute increment it is difficult to allow time preferences let alone schedule the games to be sure not to confuse patrons of the time they are actually registering for. If you have any insight on how to address this or if it is a modification that can be made in the future that would be greatly appreciated.

    @McComb

    Hey McComb,

That is an interesting proposal, Are you making them CoRec or more like Open Leagues? Here our CoRec have gender requirements of half the participants while our open leagues have no gender restriction/requirement. I was just wondering how you set yours up as on my campus still have a larger base of students associating as male. Do you think that this will affect your numbers and programming if they are CoRec, as sometimes our CoRec teams have issues finding enough members of one gender or the other, so we work to merge teams and use free agents to assist in filling.

    Thanks!

In the past I have worked to do rate your officials or surveys at the end of the year, though I am hoping to get more direct feedback. I am working on some evaluation methods, I currently do not use the official scheduling feauture on IMLeagues, but is there currently a way to ask 3-5 simply questions with a 1-5 scale on the game, officials professionalism and satisfaction if I do or is that something that could be built in and bumped to captains at the end of their games?

This is important as we are always looking to improve our programs and our numbers, and improving the student/customer experience I think will assist in the retention of participants throughout their time at our university.

Thanks for all you guys do and implement into the program.
