We require teams to have a minimum number of players on their roster in order to have a spot in a division (ex. Wednesday 8-11pm). Do other schools do this? Also, how do you handle the teams that have registered, have enough players, and are still on the wait list? The issue I'm having is that I have open slots in many divisions, with teams on the wait list, but unless they move themselves into a division I don't know where they want to play. Any thoughts on this would be very helpful. Thanks all!

How to address pending teams in a division
-
We always send an email to those teams on the wait list and let them know there are slots available. Then they can either move themselves, or respond to us with a desired time slot and we move them ourselves.

Thanks for bringing this up - I imagine it is probably a feature that would greatly help many programs!
I have our developers currently working on a feature to address this exact issue.
It will work in the following manner:
-
If you have league level joining then once the team hits whatever restrictions are required to be met it will automatically move the team into the league (provided it is not locked, full, past moving dates, etc.)
-
If you have division level joining we will have teams rank divisions upon team creation and then once the team hits whatever restrictions are required it will automatically move the team into their highest ranked division that is still available.
-
If for whatever reason the team can not be auto moved the captain will receive an alert immediately once their team's restrictions have been met alerting them to move their team. They will also receive an alert when their team has been auto moved.
We are excited for this new feature and hope to have it implemented by the end of the month!
Best,'

We still make teams come to our office and pay us, after that we move them to the division they want. Doug, can you make sure this is still an option? I think as long as use the pay option that should still take precedent?
