I also think this could be a good, easy way to organize a very large collection of bracket entries.
Not much shows up currently when the ribbon is clicked on, but once they unveil more, I think this will be a fun addition to our intramural options

Hi,
So when you click the March Madness ribbon it should take you to the screenshot below where you can sign up for both NCAA Mens and NCAA Womens tournaments. Once you sign up you'll see a leaderboard for your school and a tab for "IMLeagues Overall" that you can click to see your rank at of all IMLeagues users (right now we just list the first 50 entries).
From an admin perspective you techinically don't need to do anything at all, and we'll handle all the updating of scores. However you can adjust the default scoring of the bracket for the challenge within your school. Our defaul scoring is 1-2-4-8-16-32.
@Myers Doug, One quick question are you going to have a combined score guess for a tie breaker type aspect? This is great, originally I wasn't able to see the school/IMleagues differences between the rank aspect.
Thanks!
Doug,
We are looking to have one giant prize for the winner of the men's bracket only. Would there be a way to delete or hide the women's bracket?
How can you select the teams on the bracket? Can you delete brackets as well?
I'm back to answer more questions!
We don't currently have a way to remove the women's bracket, but i'll talk to the developers to see if we can get that an option.
I want to add an option description area with each bracket that admins can customize. That way each school can add their own personal message and add things like "This league wins a T-shirt" or "this is just for fun" etc.
On selection sunday we will add all the tournament teams to the master bracket and get them properly seeded. We'll also handle all the updating of scores and results.
For the championship game users will be able to guess the final score for tie breakers.
Let me know if you have anymore questions!
@Close
With the what now?
I am definitely intrigued to have the integrated brackets, but I am quite lost on how administrators can track/manage the total number of teams and the score/team rankings once the tournament begins. On a side note, I was thrilled to see that we could modify the scoring, as we have been using Fibonacci with Yahoo for the last few years.
Not trying to be a pain, but I would really like to finalize our March Madness marketing...
Thank You,
Adam Burkhart
One more thing, I am assuming that brackets will lock at the tip of the first game or will that be something the administrators also have access to?
Can we turn this function off?
The school leaderboard rankings are wrong. We have 15 people with 6 points and only the first 5 are ranked as #1 and the rest are ranked #6-15. Then only the first 3 people with 5 points are ranked as #16 and the rest are #19-24 (2 people are ranked as #20). It doesn't make much of a difference during the first round, but definitely needs to be fixed.
@Close Why delete the women's bracket? It promotes equity and inclusion and may attract more female participation. Just give an IM champ t-shirt to the women's bracket winner.
Is there a way to message everyone that completed a bracket? We are partnering with the bowling alley/pool hall on campus to provide a viewing party for the championships and are looking to send out a reminder message to everyone that completed a bracket. Though in the messaging function trying to sort by sport (March Madness) and can't find a way. There is not the announcement function on there either that could possibly be used to message those with a bracket. Is there any effective way to do this?
